Kansas Capitol Dome
Legislators regularly sponsor Kansas students to serve as pages in the State Capitol during the legislative session. This experience is both educational and rewarding as students assist legislators with daily tasks and observe the legislative process firsthand. Students must be in high school or junior high and are required to be 12 years of age or older.

Parents are responsible for transportation, meals, and lodging expenses while pages are in Topeka. They are also responsible for page supervision when the page is not on duty. Adult chaperones should know how to locate students quickly in the event of illness, injury, or early release from page duties.

Pages will have the opportunity to get their picture taken with their legislative sponsor in the Governor's Office and should dress approriately. Tan, navy, or black slacks with collared shirts and skirts or dresses of a moderate length are appropriate attire for a day in the Capitol. You will be walking up and down five flights of stairs, so comfortable shoes are suggested. Please do not wear sandals. If you are not appropriately dressed, you may not be allowed to page in the Kansas Legislature.
