Representative Harold Lane has served the 58th House District since 2003.  He represents eastern Topeka and Lake Shawnee.

Harold and his wife, Jane, have owned and operated a local restaurant in Topeka for the last 22 years.  They have two children and five grandchildren.  Harold has been active in the Helping Hands Capitol Improvement Board, YMCA Board, Historic Topeka Board, and the Friends of Free State, of which he served as board president.  He is also active in the local Neighborhood Improvement Association.    

Throughout his five years in the Kansas House, Rep. Lane has worked actively on behalf of the Topeka and Shawnee County community.  He serves on the House Committees on Appropriations, Agriculture and Natural Resources Budget, and Local Government.  Harold also serves on the Joint Committee on Information Technology and the Select Committee on KPERS.
