Representative Kathy Wolfe Moore was born in Pittsburg, Kansas and was raised in Kansas City, Kansas, where she currently resides with her husband, Ken. Kathy has three daughters: Katie, Julianna, and Emily.
Kathy was elected to the Kansas House of Representatives in 2010 and represents the 36th District. She currently serves on the Health and Human Services, Taxation, and Appropriations committees. She is also a member of the Kansas Advisory Council on Aging.
Kathy has been employed at the University of Kansas Hospital since 2005, and is the current Business Director and Staff Assistant to the CEO there. Before joining The University of Kansas Hospital, Kathy served for ten years as the Chief of Staff to Kansas City, Kansas Mayor, Carol Marinovich. Kathy coordinated the campaign to consolidate the local governments in 1997.
She currently serves on the executive committee of the Wyandotte Economic Development Council, and is a board member at Wyandotte Center.
Representative Kathy Wolfe Moore was also elected a 2014 State Director with Women In Government by her fellow state legislative colleagues this past year. State Directors help ascertain important issues in their states so that Women In Government can tailor programming to these needs.

She has a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from The University of Kansas.
