Davis comments on passage of KPERS bill

“Teachers, prison guards and other public employees have held up their end of the KPERS bargain year after year- it’s the Legislature that has failed to do its part. The problem facing KPERS is the almost $8 billion unfunded liability, which was caused by the Legislature shirking its responsibilities since the early 1990s. Moving to a defined contribution plan does absolutely nothing to solve that problem.”
