Comprehensive energy plan vital to future of Kansas
Kansas has a unique opportunity to become a national leader in the production of biofuels and wind energy in the United States. Increased renewable energy production will not only help our country become more energy independent, it will boost our state's economy, provide new markets for agricultural products and make Kansas a better place to live and do business.
The need for clean and reliable energy will not go away. House Democrats will continue to work for a comprehensive energy policy for Kansas. We believe Kansas can meet the energy needs of state while also growing our economy and protecting the environment. House Democrats will continue to work across party lines to address this important issue. We will support legislation to meet those challenges.
