Judy Loganbill, District 86
Biography
Representative Judy Loganbill has served the 86th House District since 2001. She represents parts of south-central Wichita.
Judy has worked as a public school teacher since 1983. She also spent two years teaching elementary school students on the Hopi Reservation and two years teaching special reading at Ganado Public Schools, Ganado Arizona, on the Navajo Reservation. From 1994-1995 Judy spent the school year in Croydon, England on a Fulbright Teaching Exchange.
Within the Wichita community, Judy served on the Education Board of the South Central Peace and Social Justice Center. She is also a member of the Western District Conference and the Health and Wellness Task Force in the Mennonite Church.
As a member of the Kansas House of Representatives, Judy sponsored legislation to prohibit employers from firing employees who need to take time off to attend to issues regarding domestic violence. She has also worked to increase the severity level for anyone who attacks a pregnant woman.
Judy serves on the House Committees on Education, Government Efficiency and Fiscal Oversight, and is the ranking member of the Federal and State Affairs Committee. She also serves on the Joint Committee on Kansas Security.
Judy resides in Wichita. She has two dogs: Sam and Gus.
