This week we recognize Doug Gatewood for his effort to give a bad bill economic substance. During debate on the strip club bill, he offered an amendment to incentivize investment in SEKS casinos. The GOP blocked the proposal- they are apparently more interested in playing morality police than creating jobs. Nonetheless, we appreciate Doug's attempt to focus on the economy! Representative Gatewood has served the 1st House District since 1998.  He represents most of Cherokee County in Southeast Kansas.
