WICHITA – Rep. Nile Dillmore, D-Wichita, announced today that he has filed with the Kansas Secretary of State for re-election in the Kansas House of Representatives. Dillmore has represented the 92nd District for six terms and was first elected in 2000.

“It has been a pleasure to represent the 92nd House District,” Dillmore said.  I look forward to continuing my service to Wichita.”

Dillmore is the Ranking Democrat on the House Taxation Committee and has worked hard to carefully vet significant tax reform proposals that have come before the Legislature in 2012. He has also worked to crack down on illegal immigration by introducing legislation to prohibit Kansas businesses from contracting with firms that have violated illegal alien employment laws.

Dillmore works for Mid American Credit Union and has over 27 years of experience in banking and financial institutions.  In the Wichita community, he has served as a member of the SRS Advisory Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the Sedgwick County Community Corrections Advisory Board and the Kansas Task Force on Uninsured Motorists.

“Nile has been one of the leading proponents in the Kansas Legislature for fair and fiscally responsible tax reform,” said House Democratic Leader Paul Davis, Lawrence.  “He is a common sense legislator who is not afraid to ask tough questions on the House Taxation Committee.”

Dillmore serves as the Ranking Democrat on the House Taxation Committee. He also serves on the House Committees for the General Government Budget and Energy and Utilities.

The 92nd House District covers parts of central Sedgwick County. The 2010 election will take place on November 2nd, 2010. To learn more about Dillmore, please visit
